Have you heard that GSU is doing another service learning abroad trip this year in Panama? Let me tell you all about it!
Governors State University is working with Global Brigades to help empower rural communities in Panama. Global Brigades is an international non-profit that uniquely implements a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Volunteers working under Global Brigades work to resolve legal cases, build latrines, provide medical support and so much more.
This year's lucky group of GSU students are participating in the Global Legal Empowerment Chapter of the brigade. This particular brigade will be assisting lawyers with conducting legal clinics and providing workshops on human rights topics in under-resourced communities to help resolve economic disparities and promote global health. As you can see, GSU students are going to be doing some incredible work next year in Panama.
By now you may be wondering, where do I fit into the picture? Well, the truth is, you are the most important part of the picture because you will be helping these students raise money for this incredible opportunity! If you'd like to donate to this Global Brigade please click here right now! We've set up a GoFundMe page so that everyone can contribute in their own special way. Your contributions will help GSU cover their costs for traveling to Panama to support this brigade. Any contributions would be incredibly beneficial. Thank you!
